For Dear Ol' Dad

Dearest Asher (aka Mini-Ethan),

In time honored tradition, we decided to celebrate Father's Day this year with a picnic. So we packed up a delicious lunch, grabbed Papa Bruce, and headed off to Bandelier National Park. (This is your second trip there, you were a bit younger the first time we went.)

Upon reaching our picnic area, it became quite apparent what the first call to business was: Play in the creek!

Always look.... ...before you leap.

I think you've got it!

We paused briefly from splashing around the creek to picnic with the dads.
We decided that you needed to catch a quick nap after lunch (and getting completely soaked in the creek) before we attempted to go exploring the Indian ruins. Dad decided to show you how's it done - outdoors style!
While I, being round and uncoordinated in my fifth month of pregnancy, did not participate in the ladder climbing, you and dad had a great time exploring all the little nooks and crannies the cliff dwelling had to offer.
Until next year, here's to dads!

Love,
Mom
