The Grandparents Dixon - May 19, 2010
Oh happy day! Grandpa Kent and Grandma Carolyn have come to visit. Oh joy unbounded! And boy do we have plans for them. Big plans! Which begin with a trip to Old Town Albuquerque.
Though we had caught up with the Grandparents Dixon the day before, it was still a fond reunion for Grandpa Kent and Asher. (We had visited the The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History with them earlier that week.)
Before we headed out into the bright spring day, we stopped by the Albuquerque Museum, which was hosting a Turner to Cezanne exhibit. Dex slept through the whole thing, but Asher really had fun playing with Grandma Carolyn in the kids room.
Grandpa Kent had a new camera he was trying to figure out.
But with such a pretty day and so many wonderful, southwestern colors, there was plenty to take pictures off!
We wandered the little streets and court yards of Old Town for about an hour or so. It was fun to be a tourist in my own town for once. I really don't take advantage of what Albuquerque has to offer!
We decided to take a well-deserved break in a shady spot - just Grandma and the grandsons (and me too!)
Uncle Clint and Dad waiting for us slow pokes to catch up!
Tomorrow: a day trip to Jemez!
