A Visit to the Doctor

Dear Big Brother-to-be,

The time is fast approaching where your world is going to change. Drastically. In fact, I have a feeling you won't know what hit you. You're going to have a little sibling here pretty soon.

Part and parcel of the whole "sibling creation process" is many visits to the doctor. This time, you got to come along with me. You found the whole thing very intriguing. Dr. Saavedra (our family practice doc) let you pull up a chair and watch what she was doing.

I don't think you knew what to make of hearing the baby's heartbeat on the monitor.

Give me another month or so and you'll see what all this fuss has been about!
