Visitors from the North - November 27, 2008

This year for Thanksgiving we got a very special surpise - Grandpa Kent and Grandma Caroyln came all the way from Iowa to visit! We ended up having two Thanksgivings in their honor. On Thanksgiving Day, we all went to Aunt Jill's house to celebrate with the Schneider side of the family and on the day after we went to Auntie Michele's and Uncle Wayne's to celebrate with the Dixon side of the family.

Asher had spent the night at Papa Bruce's house so I could get some much needed cooking done with minimal interruption, so when he arrived at Aunt Jill's house, guess who greeted him at the door!

 

 

 

You got it! It was Grandpa Kent! It had been quite awhile since Asher had seen Grandpa Kent and Grandma Carolyn. In fact, we last met up with them in Wichita in May of 2007. Asher was pretty little back then, I'm not sure he remembers the details. But it didn't take him long to get to be fast friends with Grandpa Kent again!

 

 

 

Grandma Carolyn also knew exactly how to make friends with little boys! Especially since Asher has a insatiable need to read books. And more books!
