Rain, rain, come today! - September 23, 2010

We've had the lovely experience of a fall rain this afternoon. As I've said before, there's nothing like rain in the desert. It is welcome, cooling, and everything smells wonderful afterwards. And this particular day - while Dex was napping - Asher decided to take full advantage of playing rain.

A huge puddle had formed in the backyard and it captured Asher's attention for awhile. And even though he was very wet, he found he wasn't quite wet enough. So he stuck his head under the canale. That seemed to do the trick!

For the next twenty minutes, Asher dashed from here to there and back again.

One often forgets just how fun playing can be until one observes small children doing it.
