State Fair Parade - September 11, 2010

It's a beautiful fall morning in our enchanting land. The sun is out, the streets are lined with people, and my boys are trying to be patient. Why it must be PARADE TIME!

Our State Fair always opens to much fanfare and a parade along Central Ave. We are there. We are ready. Let's get this show started!

Oh at last, at last! Here comes the parade.

Like all good parades, we have marching bands and ROTCs. Dex especially likes the marching bands.

Along with celebrities, bands, and soldiers, we also have... politicans! Could this get any more American?

This here is Martin Heinrich - our Rep. He looks a bit flushed because he's already jogged two miles and shook five hundred hands and it's not even 9:30 yet.

There's just so much to see, wherever you look!

Then comes Asher's piece d' resistance. You can hear him quietly singing, "All my friends... know the LOW RIDERS!"

Alas, the parade eventually came to an end. Dex waves good-bye to his first parade.
