Skate City - September 2, 2010
Our local skating rink, Roller Skate City, has a class every Thursday morning for kids 6 and under. They call it the Pixie Class, but that's neither here nor there.
So, on this bright September morning, me and the boys venture out so Asher can try is hand...? Er... foot? At skating.
What I really like about this class is the fact that parents are not allowed to go out onto the rink with their kids. They have to stay on the sidelines and watch while the employees of the rink teach the little ones the rudiments of rollerkskating.
Though wobbly at first, Asher fears not and does his best to skate. Eventually he gets more comfortable and tries it on his own. There are a few spills.
But on the whole, Asher's take on rollerskating is a good one, and he's ready to try it again soon!
