Fun with the Allens - August 18, 2010

There's a couple at our church who have graciously invited me and the boys to play at their house. Ethan's new job requires extensive travel (every other week he's gone) so sometimes it gets a bit tough for us to make it through the week. Thankfully the Allens have offered to distract us this morning! Upon arrival at their house, Dexter immediately spied a rocking horse and took full advantage of it.

 

The Allens live down near Papa's house, which has been established as little boy paradise. So while inside is nice, outside is better. Asher immediately began a mad dash around the property.

 

Mr. Allen brought out some large plastic balls and he and Dex were soon engrossed in figuring out how to bounce on them.

 

But running and bouncing cannot compare with... water! Mrs. Allen let the boys play with the hose. The next hour's activity was set!

 

Mrs. Allen brought out a box that grabbed the attention of both boys. Playing with water quickly gave way to playing with bubbles.

 

Bubbles, no matter what your age, are magical.
