Take Me Out to the Ballgame - May 22, 2010
Get ready sports fans! It's time for Asher and Dexter's first baseball game ever! We have been reluctant to take them because I didn't think they'd have the attention span to sit through nine innings of baseball. But, special times call for special concessions and since it's for Grandpa Kent and Grandma Carolyn, I figure it would be great for them to share this experience with us. Here are the boys, ready to partake of America's national pasttime.
Dex sits at attention, trying to take in all these new sights and sounds. Though the subtleties of the sport are really lost on him, he's having a great time just being here!
While the game itself proved of little interest to the boys, they sure did enjoy the between inning antics.
In this instance, a red chile, a green chile, a jar of salsa, and a taco are in a foot race across the field. Go Green Chile!
I'd take the boys for a walk around the park (several times actually) and we'd always return and have dad update us on what was going on.
What an all-American group they make!
Alas, this was the last night we were to share with Grandpa Kent and Grandma Carolyn. They had to return home to Iowa. But, we sure had a great time with them while they were here.
We love you Grandpa and Grandma - come back soon!
