Fun in the Sun - July 22, 2009

I always thought the ol' saying, "When God closes a door, He opens a window" was a bit trite. I'm not really into pithy Christian sayings that are suppose to make us feel the warm fuzzies. I'm too much a of cynic I suppose. But, when God "closed the door" of K.B. Toys this past winter (they went out of business at our local mall) he "opened the window" of letting us buy an inflatable pool that would normally cost $$$ for about seven bucks. Ah, such a nice breeze coming in from that window.

So, not one to horde our good fortune, we invited Asher's gnomies over for a swimming good time one hot July morning...

There was a great deal of running, laughing, and splashing. Little boys know how to "get 'er done" when it comes to cooling off in the summer. And the more, the merrier (and louder).

 

Now, fortunately for Dex, Asher's pal Ezra also has a little brother named Jude. And Jude and Dex spent the time getting to know one another while the bigger boys had their fun.
