Happy Birthday

Dear Asher,

I honestly can't believe it.  I can't believe a whole year has gone by already.  And when I look back, I get a little misty-eyed.  You're one year old! You are no longer a little infant I cuddled close at all hours of the night, but a robust and active baby!  Toddlerhood is right around the corner!

So, for your first birthday, we invited the family to join us at the zoo for a picnic and a stroll about to see the animals! (Your actual first birthday was March 25th, but for reasons I do not wish to recount, we celebrated on March 31st)

We all sat around on blankets, eating our picnic lunches. After our lunch, we went for a stroll around the zoo.
Out of the many exotic animals there, you seemed to be most interested in the peacocks that were wandering around.
Aunties Michele and Alicia kept you company in your stroller while they waited for the rest of us.
And even though it was your birthday, you let Jonethan take the center stage - but only for a moment!
All in all, we had a great time.  But we weren't done yet!  We still have the birthday cake to consume.
