Turning 29

Hey there kiddo ,

On June 25th,  I turned 29 years of age.  Yep.

It's weird, as you one day will discover, to turn 29.  You pause and take stock of your life thus far.  Have you accomplished everything you thought you would by the time you turn 30?  If not, you only have a year to get it done!

I'm very content with my life.  I have you and your daddy and our families. We're all healthy.  God has richly blessed us materially, spiritually, and emotionally.  What more could one really ask for? (Aside from my '68 Mustang completely restored :o)

My birthday weekend was quite eventful.  It started out with a BBQ at Aunt Kyra's and Uncle Matt's on Friday evening.  Then on Saturday we went to your very first (of many to come) Arts and Crafts fairs.  Then Sunday we went to Aunt LiLi's and Uncle Clint's for cake and ice cream.

So I suppose you're wondering what kind of sage old advice mom has to offer on her 29th birthday.  Well, here are a few sayings for you:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother" – which is the first commandment with a promise – "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."
~ Ephesians 6:1-3
If you ever drop your car keys in a river of molten lava, let `em go man, cuz they're gone!
~ Jack Handy

Pretty useful advice if you ask me!

Love,
Mom
