Father's Day Picnic – June 16, 2012

Per the tennants of "holy tradition," we made our yearly pilgrimage to the mountains for a Father's Day picnic. We didn't go far, just La Cienega picnic grounds, but it was a delight to get out of the raging hot city for a few hours.

After a delightful repast, the boys decided to set off for some adventures.

A big grassy field is always a good place to start looking for adventure. You never know what could be lurking there.

It's also a great place to let the imagination wander.

The boys' quest for adventure ultimately led them to what little water there was (it's been a dry year for the ol' Sandias). Commence Operation PLAY!

Who goes there!? Maybe a sasquatch? A sneaky one no doubt, adept had hiding their true identity from the prying camera lens.

Asher asserts that there are no sasquatches lurking under this bridge. Or trolls. Only pesky little brothers.

All hail fathers! We love them so. We can't imagine life without them or without Father's Day picnics.
