Takin' the Train to Santa Fe - May 21, 2010
I'm really getting to like this being a tourist in my own town. Today we're going to take the Roadrunner Train up to Santa Fe to wander around The Plaza and have lunch. Then, back down to Albuquerque on the train. I love not driving!
Tell you one thing, Asher is bursting with excitment. He loves trains as much as I love not driving. He and Grandma Carolyn are ready to go!
Apparently we are not the only ones who think taking the train to Santa Fe for a day trip is a good idea.
We find a nice compartment that will fit the whole family without trouble. We are ready to go.
This is the first time for Dex to ride on the train (if you don't count the time I went on the train when I was pregnant with him). Needless to say, he is up for the adventure!
The train ride up there takes over an hour, but because we weren't strapped into seats and could "move about the cabin" the boys did really well. Also, there were plenty of sights to see out the window along the way. (And there were bathrooms - yay!)
We get off the train no problem and are ready for our next stop - the Santa Fe Plaza and lunch!
