Dinosaurs Extinct! - April 11, 2010

Trolling the local Goodwill store I came across this board game - Dinosaurs Extinct?

As Asher loves him a good dinosaur story, I thought he might enjoy this game too.

 

He was more than willing to give it a go when I got home.

The premise of the game is simple: By rolling the dice, you move your dinosaur piece through the board game. Sometimes you land on a little earth and that means you have to draw a Dinosaur Extinct card. On the card is something scientists think might have killed the dinosaur, such as an ice age, meteorite, or (our favorite) T. Rex!

 

Once you draw your card, you have to lift up a flap on your dinosaur picture card (which is the same dinosaur as your playing piece). If you lift up all the flaps on the card before you get to the end, you have to start over at the beginning.

 

Simple enough. Let the game begin!

 

Asher was quite smitten with the whole thing once we figured out how to play. And now? Well, we play it a lot. But hey, at least it's better than Candyland!
