To the Zoo With You! - February 23, 2009

It was a crisp, sunny February morning when we decided it was time for a zoo outing. It would be Dexter's first time at the zoo. So with trusty camera in hand, we sallied forth to see what we could see.

 

Our first stop (as always because it's the first animal exhibit when entering the zoo) was the flamingos.

Dex was more interested in what Asher was up to than what some pink birds were doing "over there." This would become the common theme of the day.

 

As we wandered further into the zoo, we came across a docent who was holding a Kestrel. Asher with his keen photographer's eye, immediately saw the potential of the scene.

 

And we continued to wander on, catching a very "Kodak moment" by the giraffes.

Dex seemed to enjoy the zoo well enough. Just being outside was enough to keep him in good spirits.

Next stop? The polar bears!

 

But by this time, the younger Dixon Brother was feeling pretty pooped! Time to head home!
