Heading Home
Asher "Me Hearty" Dixon,
Today was a pretty mellow day. We had been so busy up until this point, that we hadn't actually relaxed on our vacation yet. So this day was set aside for aimless wandering, lots of eating, and the occasional game of miniature golf. We left from Progress about 4 o'clock in the afternoon the day before and would be reaching New Orleans about 8:30 in the morning tomorrow. |
We started our day by going to the little coffee shop on board again. The woman behind the counter thought that you were so cute so she gave you a huge chocolate chip cookie. |
You sure made short work of that cookie! It was a devoured in no time. |
Then we spent some time just lounging around on deck. Never one to lounge, you quickly found a way to entertain yourself playing with your toy cars on the deck chairs. |
It wasn't long before it was nap time. This cruise was the first time you had ever slept in a "big boy" bed and I must say you managed quite well. Didn't fall or roll off the bed once! |
After nap it was time for lunch. I include this picture because I wanted to show you photographic proof that you actually ate meat! Up to this point, you've shunned meat for reasons known only to yourself. But here you are eating a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. |
I also wanted to add that you thoroughly enjoyed riding in the elevator. We had one little hiccup about it though. Whenever the doors would open, you would dash out of the elevator as fast as you could - like a race horse out of the starting gate. Unfortunately, the doors often opened on floors we weren't getting out on and I would have to scamper out after you and drag you back in.
Take note - each level is marked by a letter (we were on M for Main) and under each letter is a list of what is located on the floor. Very handy! |
Tomorrow we are back on American soil! |
Love,
Mom |
