Christmas at Sea  - Part 1

Asher "The Sea Dog" Dixon,

Christmas day dawned bright and sunny and warm.  A gentle breeze wafted kindly over our ship as we sailed deep into the heart of the Gulf of Mexico.  Today we spend the entire day traveling from New Orleans to our first port of call, Cozumel, Mexico.

Carnival calls travel days "Fun Day at Sea."  We started our day exploring the ship, The Fantasy.  We went up to the very top to see what we could see.
You immediately took to the sun and warm weather.  You loved being able to run around outside unencumbered by bulky jackets and shoes and socks.
Water, water everywhere!  It was quite a sight for our desert eyes to see so much water.  It was your first experience with the ocean.  It was beautiful - no land in sight!
After our tour of the outer decks of the ship, we went in search of a morning treat. We soon discovered that there is never a lack of food or treats on a cruise ship. If you can't find something to nibble on, well you must be locked in a box somewhere because there is food and drink galore!
We decided on hot chocolate (for me) and coffee (for dad) at the little coffee shop on board.  You and I shared.
After we finished our hot chocolate, we went off to explore the rest of the ship.

Love,
Mom
