Big Snow!

Asher-masher!

I must preface this letter by saying: Don't get your hopes up.  What I'm about to show you is not a "typical" New Mexico winter snow.  And I know how much little boys love to play in the snow, but it will probably be many, many years before a snowfall like this heads our way again.

The past couple of days we have had record breaking snow!  This is what our backyard looked like after it finally stopped.

It was so bad that Interstate 40 was shut down for days!  It was a parking lot of semi trucks and other cars of people trying to get home after the holidays.

You didn't quite know what to make of all this cold white stuff outside.
After being stuck inside for a couple of days, you and dad got a bad case of cabin fever.  So dad bundled you up in the Baby Bjorn and wrapped his jacket around you and off the two of you went for a snow adventure!

While you were a little small this year to really take advantage of all the snow, I could tell you were eager to get out in it. I guess I'd better have a snow suit ready for you next year!

Love,
Mom
